    Developing better mechanics will help athletes better optimize their power and speed in any discipline. Improved running mechanics can; prevent injury, decrease over striding, improve the ability to react or change direction. Overall this will maximize the running potential of the athlete.

    The application of running mechanics at a high speed focusing on strength, power, explosiveness. Applying principles of acceleration and maximal speed running to increase rate of force and ROM (range of motion) at top speed.

    This involves a wide range of exercises developed to enhance the attributes needed for a particular sport. Base strength, skills and coordination will help the athlete transition gradually into more advanced training methods with less stress on the body and decreased chance of injury.

    The training method is put into practice by way of skips, jumps and bounds with the aim of increasing power, and more importantly how quickly that power is applied during any given movement.

The nature of my role has allowed me to work with a plethora of teams across a range of sports giving me an in-depth insight into the mechanics underlying athletes’ individual performance needs and goals. My primary aim is to ensure that I can provide the best players and athletes with the required attention, motivation and knowledge to enhance their performance in their respected sporting arenas. I currently work with athletes from academy development to elite level; within football, rugby, tennis, and track and field.
